While you're here, we highly
recommend the 12 minute drive north of Cambria to San Simeon to tour the famous Hearst Castle. And right now is the perfect time to see all the amazing things about "The Ranch." To William
Randolph Hearst, this was a Country Estate ... one of his vacation homes. He called it, "...my little ranch at
San Simeon." It's a good idea to check the Hearst Castle website, if you are interested in taking one of the tours offered.

advance, which can be done on their website. Also, be aware that the weather can be very different on the top of the Hill (at 1,600 ft. it's usually warmer in the summer, colder and wet in
the winter) from what you experience at the Visitor Center, so it's a good idea to dress in "layers" and during
the Winter months take rain protection, just in case!
And in case you didn't know,
Hearst Castle offers Accessible Tours for guests who need to use a wheelchair, can't walk distances or have
trouble climbing stairs. Contact the ticket office or log on to their website to book your tours and times. Have
fun and be prepared to be amazed!
