Yes!  You are in the right place!

Though my brick and mortar store in Cambria is now closed, I've upgraded our website to include the option of shopping on-line for many of the wonderful antiques, vintage collectibles and inspiring gifts that were available in our Cambria, CA store.  Many of you have asked for this feature in the past.  Well, now it is available and we hope you enjoy it! (Just click on the "Online Store tab to the left.)

A new feature of this website will be this opening page that is sort of a BLOG with new happenings in my life, new places for you to visit, and just things that I have discovered that I think will be of interest to you. Suggestions are always welcome...anything that you would like to see featured here?

Today I am sharing my new "Crafting Cottage" that was built with love by my brother, Denny Roberts, and my two nephews, Michael and Frank Roberts! It was built from the ground up from a pile of materials that were delivered by Home Depot...and from that pile of 2 x 4's, roofing material, siding, trim and windows came this wonderful new play house! As we were in the final days of construction, my Sister in law, Debby Steward and brother in law, Gary Steward came by to help tape and "mud" the drywall. My friend, Pat Riley, helped me finish sand and paint and install the flooring and molding and--Voila--it was ready to go!

Now, just click on this link for the BLOG photos of this project! (I couldn't seem to get the pages to work in the regular format of this page--sorry!)

Thank you to all of you who helped make this dream a reality! Such wonderful friends and family--I am SO blessed! Now I'd better get busy and create something! Olivia, my 6 year old granddaughter is poised and ready for our first sewing lesson--a cupcake apron! Now we just need that free afternoon!

I just returned from a get away to Carmel and you know how I love to share my favorite stores--and this has been a favorite of mine for several years! Wonderful Nancy Monk is the proprietress of this charming Carmel shop called Findings, and I know you will love it too! It is tucked in a little group of shops next door to Neilson's market on San Carlos between Ocean and 7th, and inside you will find charming vintage pieces, lovely new fabrics, buttons, vintage and new ribbons and trims, great handmade children's garments, and all kinds of things to inspire you to create! She carries many of the same lines of ribbons that I carried at Birds of a Feather and she has a talent for finding the most unusual, lovliest examples--all tucked inside this little box of gems! Please stop by for a visit on your next trip to Carmel and be sure to tell her that Bonnie from Birds of a Feather sent you! Her number is 831.624.3700 if you would like to call first to check on her hours of operation.
